“I’m invested in the Dream” Monthly Community Clean-Up’s
|

|
On Saturday January 30th, 2010 more than 20 people showed up at Allan Witt Park to help clean up Fairfield by picking up trash within the park. The amount of trash collected filled a full size pick-up truck that we hauled off to the dump. We ended the clean-up with a barbeque of hot dogs, hamburgers & other refreshments supplied and prepared by a committed “Dream Team Member,” Tony Garcia. Tony is one of the Board of Directors for The Matt Garcia Foundation. “Thank you Tony!”
More to Come… We look forward to impacting our communities working with the City of Fairfield’s Quality Neighborhood Teams with these types of activities in other neighborhoods.

Keep the Dream Alive Anthem Matt would always say (excerpts from the lyrics)... “Ever since I was in sixth grade I always told people I was going to be the mayor of Fairfield. We don’t have a bowling alley, a skating rink, a boys and girls club.

A police activities league any of those things! It’s a war zone. I wanna step up to the plate and show people that young people do care about this community. I choose to show my leadership doing something positive, instead of something negative...”
